This was a great course. It was mostly flat except for one decent climb. I started my day by hitting the pavement right after the start, when the fellow in front of me checked up. I spent the next 5 minutes chasing down the field... This race progressed in similar fashion to the others in that there were two guys off the front on the second lap. Their teammates disrupted any group attempts to chase them down, so the peloton was racing for 3rd place. Each lap also had an intermediate sprint that allowed the first three guys to gain time in the GC standings. This made the tactics interesting, as the sprints came immediately before the big climb. I laid low on the sprints to save energy for the climbs. I was pretty tired by the final field sprint and managed 9th.
